Job Description:

As a Sr. Account Executive, your primary responsibility is to develop new client relationships, and you will also manage and expand our existing engagements for Apexis professional services, managed services, and hardware/software acquisition. Primary duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Driving sales strategies and methods focused on acquiring net new customers while maintaining the sales cycle to close. This will include conducting research on assigned accounts and proactively identifying prospects
  • Demonstrating consultative and solution selling techniques while accurately and consistently maintaining a sales forecast
  • Working closely with Apexis’s Solution Architects and sales team, vendor partners, and our marketing team to acquire new customers and shorten sales cycles
  • Training in vendor and service offerings. Maintain an understanding of partner deal registration programs and pricing models
  • Professionally develop and present sales presentations to executive level and C-level decision makers in the client’s environment
  • Meeting revenue and margin targets with the ability to implement strategic account plans

Desired skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of consultative/solution selling experience in Information Technology/ Information Systems, with a record of success that includes new customer acquisition and achievement of sales goals
  • Current enterprise security space experience preferred
  • Strong relationships with key accounts in Kansas City is required
  • Experience selling security assessments, professional services, and managed services is a plus
  • Strong consideration will be given to candidates with successful security sales experience and vendor related certifications (ex: Palo Alto, Check Point, Sophos, Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, mimecast, Proofpoint, Cylance, F5)
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with emphasis on face-to-face meetings and presentations, phone conversations with prospects, and email correspondence with customers
  • Comfortable with a “hunter” mentality applied to both acquiring new clients and expanding existing customer relationships
  • Account Executive will reside in the Kansas City area, although the company will offer
    relocation assistance as necessary to well-qualified candidates
